My Family

Every morning, they lie by my bed,
greeting me with sleepy eyes.
Stretching and yawning, they tell me
“Get up, our bowls are in need of
supplies.”
” Our water is stale, our box is a
mess, and besides, we are lonely
too.”
“Really, get up real soon, or your kitchen
will smell like poo.”
Whenever I’m blue and don’t want
to move, ’cause Life is getting me
down,
my Gang is always there, giving me
Hope; their Love keeps me safe and
sound.
